Continued from (Part-8) After the vacation were over, grandson left for the city under great compulsions leaving behind the grandfather in an ocean of agony. It was a pleasant day after many days of continuous snowfall. The whole village was shining in bright sunlight the way Big Father shone for few days during the company of his grandson. But again beautiful time could not lasted long. To the village evening came with dark clouds and for the Big Father, grandson left him once again. Both the village and Big Father were in a gloomy mood. Big Father stood up from his wooden arm chair, it appeared that his old eyes wanted the eternal rest now. At this juncture of life, after passing through the numerous phases of life, he had only one wish in his heart, he wanted to see whole of his scattered family with him once again in his empty big house. He also knew that all his sons had settled down at different places, so assembling them at one place was quite impossible. Slowly walking towards ...

Childhood-Part .3

Continued from (Part -2)

After many efforts the little boy succeeded to motivate his father for taking him back to village for the weekend.

On reaching the village the boy directly ran towards the nearby farm where his mother was working. He hugged his mother and cried for some time saying that he don’t  want to go back to town. He innocently said, he was ready to do any kind of work in the village but would never go back to his new school. His mother had also tears in her eyes but was silent, she knew that all this was happening for his good future only. The boy ran towards the village temple where his grandfather was praying. Seeing the boy running, Big Father came out of temple and hug the boy but boy was very upset and silent, he pulled his grandfather back inside the temple and said, “all the villagers said that God listen to you please ask the God that I should fall seriously ill till next day so that my father cant not take me back to the town”. Grandfather was shocked to hear that. He hugged the boy and wiped his tears. He assured the boy that he will talk to his father about the new school. It gave some hope to the boy but he was not sure.

Till the evening the little boy was fully shattered with no charm on his face.He did not wanted even to meet his village friends who had come to meet him. He hid himself in a darker corner of house to avoid the other kids.He was badly traumatised and shocked. He had nothing to share with his friends. It was upto the late evening the boy did not came out of that corner of the house.  At the time of dinner, everybody looked around for him but he had fallen asleep there. The next morning was sunday, the last day for the boy in village, he was quiet and hopeless rolling his tears quietly. At the breakfast table, his grandfather decides that the boy will continue his studies in village and wouldn’t go back to his new school.

The decision was unbelievable for the boy, it was a dream come true for him. His pale wet eyes were alive again. Happiness could easily be seen in his every movement. Only the boy was not happy but his mother and grandfather both were also back to peace.

The little boy ran out to meet his friends happily. All the friends sat at a nearby brook and discussed the separation in lengths. Little boy was the hero of the day,  he narrated so many horrible stories to his friends about the town and new school. He praised his bravery too for staying away from his family for a long week all alone. The tales continued for a very long time.

At night the boy went to his grandfather’s room and narrated all the horrible stories to him too. The wise Big Father who had solved numerous issues in village whole life was totally confused. It was a unique tangle for him. He was not able to decide  if the decision of staying the boy back in village was good or not. He didn’t wanted  his decision to adversity  effect his dear grandson in future. He went in to deep cerebrations, it was a unique puzzle to solve.Does destiny depends upon schools? What is successful life ? What matters most in life satisfaction or money? Should we sacrifice the joy of today for the joy in future which is not certain? Does good schools guarantee a successful and peaceful life? Should he consider small feelings and emotions of a small boy?
